Hi everyone! Just to let you know that Sarah-Jane is on TV again as the determined and hopelessly-in-love Lauren in "Kinky Boots".
For the uninitiated, Kinky Boots is based on the true story of Charlie Price (Joel Edgerton) who is the new owner of a struggling footwear company in Northampton. Just as he is about to lay off all his workforce and concede defeat, one of his firey employees, Lauren (Sarah-Jane Potts) makes him rethink and make a last ditch attempt at saving the family business. During a trip to London, he encounters the brash, confident, larger-than-life drag-queen, Lola (Chiwitel Ejiofor) who ends up being drafted in to help design shoes and boots for the growing community of female impersonators and cross-dressers! Seriously, its in equal parts hilarious, heart-warming and tear-jerking. Huge kudos to everyone involved! Its easily on a par with the sublime "The Full Monty". A brilliant film and well worth a watch so what're you waiting for, gang? Kinky Boots is on BBC2 at 10pm on Saturday 4th January 2009. Enjoy, Potts -watchers!
